Coming off a career best 2nd place finish Justin took his JDS Glass, Lane Spears Enterprises, McKee Motorsports Management, Smith Auto & Sales, OCR Action Sports Park, Marlowe Racing Chassis Chevy back to Hickory looking to continue to ride the wave of momenteum. After a solid qualifying effort and a heated side by side battle with last years track champion, Justin settled into 5th place and went to work for 4th. Thats when potential disaster struck. Coming off turn 4, with a fender under the 4th place truck, the truck came down and sent Justin spinning down the front stretch bringing out the caution. Able to right the truck and rejoin at the rear of the field, Justin maintained his composure and proceeded to drive back thru the field to a solid 4th place finish, gaining on 3rd place when the laps ran out. 4/26/10
Bad luck continues............ After a Friday practice parts failure and crash and lots of help from Dexter Canipe Jr. & Bob McVay, Justin and his JDS Glass & Remodeling Chevy Silverado rebounded to turn in a season best 5th place qualifying effort. Only to have another truck come down on him racing for 5th place and tear the right front fender and half the nose off the truck, causing officials to black flag him and end his day. Justin left the track dejected with his finish, but optimistic that he continues to improve and eventually all of the hard work will pay off with a little "racing luck" and a good finish to show for his efforts.

Justin wrapped up his rookie season in a Late Model Super Truck with a trip to the historic Myrtle Beach Speedway. Although the results did not show it, he had a good truck, learned a lot, and gained respect from many truck series veterans. Justin would like to thank all his sponsor's, family, fans, & friends for their support during the 2009 season. With a full season under his belt, he is looking forward to a successful 2010 season. Although exact plans are still being finalized, look for Justin to make a serious bid for the rookie of the year honors at Hickory Motor Speedway. Stay tuned for exact plans as they are finalized.

Just 10 days after becoming old enough to race under NASCAR sanctions, Justin took his JDS Glass & Remodeling Chevy Silverado to the season ending Bad Boy Mowers Super Truck Series race at Hickory Motor Speedway. After turning heads with fast laps during practice, he backed it up with a 6th place qualifying effort in a 16 truck field (outqualifying the points leader and 3 of the top 4 in points). At the start of the race, the truck in front of Justin didn't go and backed up the outside line allowing several trucks to get by on the inside before falling in line in 10th place. Justin was just starting to work his way back toward the front when he was caught up in a wreck that happened in front of him (being hit from behind and knocked into the wreck). On the restart, Jusitn came on the radio reporting a bad viberation. The crew chief told him to ride for a bit and see if it got any worse. During the next caution, Justin came in and the crew found a broken drive plate on the rear end. This ended Justin's night. Although his bad luck continued for a 3rd straight race, the team takes some comfort in the fact that they are getting more competitive and closer to the front with each race. Given just a little "racer's luck" Justin could find himself contending for wins. Be sure to follow Justin's progress at the next PASS South Late Model Truck Series event at Southern National Speedway in Kenly, NC on September 26th.

Justin & his Lane Spears Enterprises, JDS Glass & Remodeling, Tri-State Roofing, Metallic Building Company, OCR Action Sports Park, Rider's Wholesale, Marlowe Racing Chassis Chevy Silverado traveled to Dillon Motor Speedway this past weekend to try out some changes made to the truck. Being his first time on the track at DMS in a late model truck, most of practice was spent learning the track and perfecting his "line". While the truck was loose in qualifying, the decision was made to make no changes for the race in hopes the track would tighten up as it cooled off. As expected the track did tighten up for the race, however as the race progressed the truck was getting too tight. The decision was made to pit and try to make the truck better. After an air pressure adjustment, Justin went back out and ran in 9th place, catching 8th place, with a truck that was now a little too free on corner entry. With less than 10 laps to go, that too free condition caught up with him as he looped the truck around going into turn 1 trying to pass the 8th place truck. All in all, the team was well pleased with the changes made to the truck and the prgress made. We feel we are making progress toward giving Justin a truck he can take and run up front with at the next PASS Truck Series event at Orange County Speedway on August 8th.

With high hopes, Justin headed east to Coastal Plains Raceway this past weekend for the next PASS Late Model Truck Series race. After a sucessful practice day on Friday, running lap times as quick as anyone, confidence was high going to the racetrack on Saturday morning. Things went smoothly thru practice sessions before transmission trouble during qualifying forced the team into action. After using every available minute between qualifying and race time, the team got the transmission repaired enough to get the truck to the line just as the field rolled off of pit lane.. However, a viberation and an extremely tight truck relegated Justin to a 10th place finish. Not what the team had hoped for. However, everybody learned from the experience and will take those lessons to Hickory for our next test session and next race on July 5th. So everyone come on out and watch Justin and his #7 Lane Spears Enterprises, JDS Glass & Remodeling, Tri-State Roofing, Metallic Building Company, OCR Action Sports Park, Rider's Wholesale, Marlowe Racing Chassis Chevy Silverado.

Justin Crider went to Orange County Speedway with a brand new motor in the car and high hopes for a new season of Pro Challenge Racing, after a very sucessful test at Hickory Motor Speedway just days before. Those high hopes remained after a good round of practice and a solid 5th place qualifying effort. However, those high hopes were quickly dashed when radio problems forced him to pit on the parade lap. Although going a lap down, right off the bat, he proceeded to drive back thru the field, passing cars up to the 5th place car before gremlins struck again, this time in the form of a loose spark plug wire. After pitting to fix that problem and loosing more laps, he soldiered on to an 8th place finish. Not what he had hoped for at all. But he'd rather get that bad luck out of the way before heading to his home track of Hickory Motor Speedway, where he always runs strong. Come out and watch Justin and his Tri-State Roofing / Firestone Roofing Products, OCR Action Sports Park Dodge at a race track near you.
